So my main question is how do I set up my own modpack so that I only need to install the mods on the server once, and the user only needs to install the mods once as well? I’m sure I could get away with updating the whole modpack once a week or even once a month. I would simply get a message saying that there is a new version for X mod, but I would still be able to enter the world and play just fine. ![]() When I moved to just using modpacks it seemed that there was no issue with using an outdated mod. Make sure you have Java installed on your Windows or Mac device to set up the mod clients. I would have to update the server and the mods in my Google drive or the server would say we’re outdated, and not let us enter. The issue is that there were updates for some mods one day, then more the next day. I then had a Google drive with the mods to easily download for those who want to join. We also have one-click installers for 80+ modpacks built into our panel. I set it up so that all the mods were added via FTP and on the server. I’ve had a few Minecraft servers in the past, mostly modpacks, but I’m trying to figure out how to add my own custom mods without needing to have the mods constantly being updated to play.
